Starting your Periods
Have you started having a period yet? Do you know what is happening in your body to make a period happen?
About once a month, an egg leaves the ovary. It moves down the fallopian tube to the uterus. Sometimes people call the uterus the womb. If the woman has sex during this time, she can get pregnant.
If she gets pregnant, the uterus builds up a thick lining of blood to help the egg grow.
